About EnergyPrint
EnergyPrint is a Minnesota-based corporation founded in 2009 that specializes in using energy utility data to generate macro-level business insights across buildings and portfolios. “We collect, visualize and analyze data,” says Stacey Kusnier, the Marketing Communication Manager at EnergyPrint (above right). “We make it simple to find, track & prove energy savings and efficiency improvements in buildings across the U.S. and Canada.”
For Stacey, interns are of great value at EnergyPrint. “We’ve been juggling project priorities that require specific technical skills and interests,” she says. “This program gave us the opportunity to try out some new things with interns and it’s been very successful.” Interns work on a variety of reporting and database-driven projects to help achieve company objectives. EnergyPrint hired two students through SciTech this summer.
Meet the Interns
Wendy Kim (center left above) is a senior at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, majoring in Statistics. She is interested in using data for business development. Wendy is currently working on company internal data that is essential for strategic decision making. “I look at company data and analyze costs. I have learned more about using data for the technical aspect of marketing for companies,” says Wendy.
Abdirihaman Abdulkadir (center right above) is studying Computer Information Systems at Metropolitan State University where he will be a senior this fall. He is interested in programming and web development. Currently, Abdirihaman is working with EnergyPrint as a BI Design & Development Intern. In addition to hands-on experience that he is getting in his field of interest, Abdirihaman has found a perfect cultural fit at EnergyPrint. “There is community here,” he says.
