Position Summary:

Analyze testing results and provide technical information about software packages to product owners and team members. Devise more efficient testing techniques and ensure frequent, productive communication. The result of these activities will be smooth process flow, improved internal knowledge of weaknesses within the organization and the FEA-based machining simulation software, enhanced product quality, and increased customer satisfaction.

Major Job Accountabilities:

·         Release Preparation and Testing

o    Summarize and communicate the status of product releases

o    Evaluate and provide feedback on feature specifications

o    Devise effective testing techniques to test new software features

o    Validate software changes by performing regression testing and documenting defects

o    Create test cases for various software enhancements using CAE/CAM tools

o    Develop metrics and provide reports that highlight key issues or trends within the software

o    Participate in Scrum activities as well as group and project meetings

o    Draft and update user manuals and training documents

·         Increase Efficiency and Grow Automation

o    Utilize and create automated tools to run and analyze testing batteries

o    Write scripts to eliminate verbose tasks

o    Improve and streamline processes within the organization constantly

Preferred Skills

·         Familiarity with FEA software and theory, as well as popular CAE tools (Abaqus, ANSYS, or similar)

·         Experience with scripting and automation tools (Python, Perl, Java, or similar)

·         Familiarity with machining processes is a plus

·         Experience with software testing and quality is a plus

·         Experience with user interface design is a plus

·         Familiarity with the Scrum agile process framework is a plus

·         Strong written and oral communication skills, and extreme attention to detail
