The last time Trusted Semiconductor Solutions was featured on our blog, we focused on intern Colin Terry and the work he did to help design and test integrated circuits for satellites. Now we’re chatting with his boss, President and CEO Allan T Hurst Jr, asking him to share his #SciTech as an employer using the program.
The team at SciTech is proud to announce that last Tuesday we not only reached our placement goal of 340 internships, but surpassed it with more coming in every week! This is an incredible achievement for SciTech. It was only two months prior that we successfully placed 1,000 interns since the program’s start in 2012.
Thank you to all the Minnesota companies that participate in the program! We couldn’t have reached these incredible goals without you.
If you have benefited from SciTech and would like to share your story, please reach out to us. You can email Piper Cleaveland, our Communications and Marketing Specialist, at piper@mhta.org or Tweet us @SciTechMN to share your #SciTech.
We may have reached our yearly goal, but there’s still program funding to go around. New and interested companies are encouraged to learn more about the program and enroll today.
About SciTech
SciTech is a free, state-funded program housed at the Minnesota High Tech Association that connects college students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to a wide variety of paid internships in small to mid-sized Minnesota companies. Qualified companies receive a dollar for dollar wage match that covers 50% of a STEM intern’s wages (up to $2,500).
