Riley & Riley: Building prototypes for an automatic wheelchair umbrella in St. Paul

“This experience has opened my eyes to what it is like to work outside of academia. I have learned about both the challenges and benefits that come with working in a small startup company.” — Erin Duffy, intern at Ativa Medical, Saint Paul

“I appreciated that the SciTechsperience program offered direction and listed out companies and their intern¬ships. I would recommend the SciTechsperience program to anyone who is looking for an internship in a STEM field in Minnesota.” — Coleman Strosahl, intern at Microbiologics, Saint Cloud

“Having my internship taught me valuable industry skills in professionalism, both in the laboratory and in the conference room. I was able to find insight into engineering design concepts that only exist outside of the classroom.” — Matt Skelton, intern at Sentera, Richfield

Minnesota's one-stop shop for STEM internships

SciTechsperience is a free, state-funded program that connects college students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to a wide variety of paid internships in small to mid-sized Minnesota companies. Qualified companies receive a dollar wage match that covers 50% of a STEM intern’s wages (up to $2,500), so they have a huge incentive to hire students registered with SciTechsperience. 300 spots are available in 2017-2018!
