Summer is our busy season here at SciTech. When the weather turns sunny, we hit the road; off to visit as many SciTech interns and companies as we can. This year, we have over 75 site visits planned with small businesses all over the state!
We call this big adventure Trekking with SciTech and this time around, Champ is coming with us!
Last Wednesday we visited four companies in the Two Harbors/ Duluth area:
- Krekeltronics
- GPM Inc.
- BC Motion LLC
- and Broekema Beltway USA
And the next day we visited five more in St. Cloud:
All the while, Champ was taking pictures. It’s his first big road trip, and he wanted to be sure he captured all the cool places and smiling faces that we met along the way. Here are some of the highlights:

- Champ’s first night in a hotel. He couldn’t wait to wake up and start going on site visits.

- Champ was really excited to learn all about industrial pumps!

- Champ learned a lot about DNA Splicing at Microbiologics.

- This awesome restaurant was recommended to us by a SciTech Alumni! Their food and atmosphere did not disappoint.

- Champ made new friends with our interns Robert and Alec at Beaver Island Brewing

- We got Champ some coffee in the morning, not that he needed it. He always has tons of energy!

- Seeing the lift bridge for the first time was really fun!
